Corrine started back to Grandma and Granddad daycare for one day last week after taking a break while they cared for my mom's parents. She settled right in and is excited to share some of her week with them!
Corrine enjoys tea parties and pretend play of all sorts right now. Grandma found a plastic tea set and a ceramic tea set in one box and Corrine thought the ceramic set was just her size... until the cat walked by. Then, it was just the right size to throw in "kitty excitement". Needless to say, the ceramic tea set is now less one little ceramic cup.
Corrine enjoys watching "Mike - Neigh" and "Nannah - Neigh" (The horses, Mike and Savannah), deer, birdies, squirrels, and who knows what else from every window in the house. My mom is getting window treatments for the 8 new windows and doorwall in the addition - but I don't think Corrine will let her keep them closed much! Below, Grandma is playing in one of Corrine's favorite places. This school house tent is what she calls her "room" and she piles books inside, along with her baby doll, a blanket and pillow (for baby doll to sleep) and then she'll call for you to come join her inside to have a reading party. It is fun to watch adults climb in and out. Auntie Ellen came over this weekend and Corrine had been practicing saying her name so when she got there Corrine went in her "room" and repeatedly hollered "Ellen!" and banged on the floor where she wanted her to come sit.
Grandma and Granddad daycare has the great outdoors to explore, too. Granddad took Corrine on a sled ride down to the river, where Corrine learned about where the frogs live.
